The implication being that State of Decay 2 support probably won't go that far, and likely won't last anywhere near that long. One thing that's especially notable from Undead Labs' reply is that it doesn't address whether support for State of Decay 2 will last up to the release of State of Decay 3 or if it will end when the sequel launches.
